Last 2 times I've trained Parrying It's flew up be having animals like sheep just attacking you. This time it's taking forever is it because I trained my other skills first? If so what skills ect.? Right now my character is:
120 Anatomy 120 Bushido 120 Tactics 120 Macing

nope. do like I said
arm any weap that u dont have skill in.
2 handed or 1 handed thing i dunno for sure on...but I know the reason u didnt gain is u are high skill in macing...so they dont actually hit u enough for the parry to check and gain if u have a mace armed

2 handed works better you have a better chance to parry

When Camel Toes was building his fencer on Great Lakes, we discovered something interesting. He had built bushido up before working parry, and we just couldn't get those fast parry gains to come (we used the female fighters in jhelom fighting pits).
In the end he had to soulstone off bushido and equip a buckler to get the parry to start moving.
As a first thing I'd try what Cutter says. Equip a weapon that you don't have any skill in (2 handed perhaps) and isnt ubws, leave bushido on the char, and see if you can get it to start moving decently within like an hour. If the skill gain like that is wrong speed in your experience, you could try stoning the bushido and equipping a buckler.

2 hander of opposite skill, no dci, & mongbats is what I used. 0-120. gota be unguilded, in tram & stand ontop of a rabbit/horse and tell it to 'all kill' you so the mongbats never hit it ;/
necro stuff to + it up so you can horrific form for the hp regen, then basics like crimmy/boh/totemofvoid/crystalline and you can afk it cause of massive h regen.
works with bushido.

I used to use disarmed female npc fighters
they do no damage to u and u can surround ur self w/ em and gain pretty fast (unless they changed that)
just disarm them, and kill all the males so more females spawn (jhelom pits)
If ur blue u can do it in tram where there is "push thru" and get basically an endless amount of them hitting u
if u gotta do in fel 8 is the max..although u can also hire them, take them to ur house, fire them, rinse repeat...and end up w/ a lot
I used to do it on a red w/ just the 8 tho...and 0-gm in a few hrs only
