This is kind of stupid but does your computer have anything to do with your lag in UO? At the moment I have an AMD that is over clocked and two 8800GT graphic cards in SLI with I think 2 GB ram. I got the computer about a year ago and I am going to give it to my little brother because he plays WoW and his computer sucks. But I am getting a i7 CPU with the intel x58 motherboard, Asus Xonar D2X, WD 10000 RPM HD, going to be running probably 12gb DDR3 1600/1866 ram and two 280's in SLI unless they come out with a newer one before I get them. Will this help with my lag or anything like that I don’t think that SLI helps game play but I am also thinking about trying Darkfalls when it comes out and everyone that says they might try it always says if my computer can handle it they are going to give it a shot.

Most of the time "lag" comes from issues with your ISP. There are times when it can be a simple thing like a new CAT5 cable connecting your PC to your modem or router or the cable between the modem and the router. Another culprit can be your NIC(network interface card).
With a PC like the one you described you shouldn't have any issues at all on your end. To be sure try new cables first. If it continues try another NIC. If you are still having problems then it is likely an issue with your ISP.
When dealing with your ISP they will have you do the lamest things. Pretty much anything to prevent them from having to take a look at your connection. When they finally make it out make sure they do a signal strength test on every line. Make sure that they check the line from the wall to your modem.
Good luck.
